Enter both dates of birth. If a recorded birth time is available, the Hour Pillar is added; if not, it is omitted rather than replaced with an invented default.

Set the dates you can actually use
Choose your earliest and latest dates, available weekdays, and any dates that are already unavailable. Only that practical shortlist is evaluated.
Separate first, then rank
Dates are placed into Recommended, Neutral Alternative, or Excluded. Eligible dates are ranked only against other dates in the same category, with the deciding rules shown.
Category first. Score second.
The comparison index orders dates inside a category. It cannot turn a neutral date into a recommended date or rescue a date that triggered a hard exclusion.
How to read the three result categories
Recommended
Explicitly suitable for marriage
The almanac lists 宜嫁娶 and the date passes every hard exclusion currently applied to the calendar and both partners.
Neutral alternative
Usable under the rules, but not auspiciously endorsed
No hard exclusion applies, but the almanac neither recommends nor prohibits marriage. Neutral dates remain separate from recommended dates.
Excluded
Removed before scoring
At least one published hard rule applies, such as a partner Day/Year Branch clash, an almanac prohibition, or a major calendar exclusion.
What the comparison index measures
For dates that survive the filters, the index combines two disclosed layers. It is a ranking tool—not a percentage chance of marital success.
Personal compatibility
60%The candidate Day Branch is compared with both partners' available Year, Month, Day, and Hour Branches for clashes, harm, punishment, Six Harmony, and completed Three Harmony structures.
Traditional calendar
40%An eligible 宜嫁娶 date receives the recommended calendar value; an eligible date with no wedding instruction receives the lower neutral value.
Twelve Day Officers, Dao, 28 Mansions, and selected gods are displayed as traditional context in the current ruleset, but they do not change the score or category.
