Personal Four Pillars chart
Calculate a useful free chart first: Four Pillars, Day Master, element balance, strength and a concise personal reading. If you want to go deeper, the optional Premium report adds Da Yun context, year-by-year timing and long-range Wealth, Career, Relationship, Pressure and Change trends.
Why the hour matters
BaZi literally refers to eight characters: one Heavenly Stem and one Earthly Branch for each of four pillars. Without the recorded birth time, the two characters of the Hour Pillar cannot be determined responsibly. The birth hour is also required for the full Premium timing layer.
Time known · 4 / 4
Year, Month, Day, and Hour are calculated. Birth city lets us check DST, longitude, solar terms and true solar time. With the required Da Yun direction selected, the same chart is ready for the optional Premium timing report.
Time unknown · 3 / 4
The Hour Pillar remains unavailable rather than guessed. You can still view the free Three Pillars snapshot and reduced-base strength analysis, but the full Premium life-timing report stays locked because it requires a known birth hour.
Free first, deeper only if useful
The free result is intentionally substantial: you can see the Four Pillars, Day Master, Five Element presence, a weighted strength result, a concise personalized reading, the core Ten Gods and Hidden Stems, natal branch relationships, and the time-conversion details behind the calculation.
The Premium report is where the model becomes time-specific. It adds the active Da Yun context, a detailed next-10-year view, long-range trend bands and highlighted windows for Wealth, Career, Relationships, Pressure and Change. Each purchased report can be reopened securely and downloaded in English and Simplified Chinese.
Timing scores are model signals, not probabilities or promises. A higher number does not guarantee success and a lower one does not mean a bad event must happen.
BaZi is a traditional cultural and metaphysical practice, not a scientifically validated way to diagnose personality or predict outcomes. Use the chart as a transparent cultural lens and self-reflection tool, not as medical, legal, financial, or life-critical advice.

An exact birth time is required for a complete Four Pillars chart because it determines the Hour Pillar. If the time is unknown, BaZi Days shows a limited Three Pillars chart and does not invent a default hour. The deeper Da Yun and annual timing layers in Premium also require an exact birth time.
Birth city is used to resolve the historical IANA timezone, daylight-saving rules, longitude, and local apparent solar time. These can change a pillar near a solar-term, date, or two-hour boundary.
The free result includes your available Four Pillars, Day Master, zodiac labels, Five Element presence, a weighted Day Master strength view, a concise personal interpretation, natal branch relationships, timezone and true-solar-time details, warnings, Ten Gods and Hidden Stems in the technical section. It is designed to be useful on its own rather than a nearly empty preview.
Premium adds the deeper timing layer: your Da Yun context, a year-by-year view of the next decade, long-range trends, highlighted wealth, career and relationship windows, pressure and change periods, important-year explanations, secure web access, and both English and Simplified Chinese PDFs.
Yes. The free strength layer uses a published strengthen-and-balance simplification: the Month Branch carries the largest seasonal weight, hidden stems use fixed strength shares, and Resource/Companion support is compared with the full weighted base. It does not claim to identify a universal Yong Shen, and near-balanced charts are flagged as convention-sensitive.
It is a relative signal inside this traditional model, not a probability or a promise that a year will be good or bad. The Premium timing score combines the active Da Yun, annual stem, and annual branch. Branch relationships such as clashes or harmonies add labels and context but do not secretly change the score.
BaZi calculators can differ in timezone reconstruction, true-solar-time use, solar-term timestamps, late-Zi day rollover, and Da Yun starting-age provider. BaZi Days publishes its exact conventions and links an independent public comparison dataset so differences can be inspected rather than hidden.
